about
loulou are excited to announce our new single Positive Outlooks for the Apocalypse, out January 18th. Born from a place of anthropocene related anxiety, the song is both uneasy and nostalgic, driven by jangling guitar and topped with sparkling synth lines.
This heartfelt ode to possible futures is equal parts facetious and optimistic and aims to remedy all of your residual 2020 induced existential dread.
lyrics
I'm making plans to make brand new friends for the apocalypse
I'm making plans to make brand new friends for the apocalypse
I have reason to think they're important
If we are going to make it through
I have reason to think they'll be needed
And I'm hoping that I'll be needed too
I hope people like people like you and I in the apocalypse
I hope people like people like you and I in the apocalypse
I'm not trying to sound to conceited
But I happen to think that I'm the caring type
And I'm certainly not perfect
But in the end I'll try to treat you right
I plan to work on personal growth
There will be plenty of time and we should make the most
Time to rest and take care of myself
And hopefully improve my mental health
If there's more left to life than surviving
Let's start looking for ways to see that we're thriving
We'll build a house and put a yard in
And with the extra space we'll work on our gardening
In the apocalypse
In the apocalypse
In the apocalypse
